Inter Extends Contracts: Dimarco, Darmian, and Mkhitaryan Commitments

Inter has officially solidified its partnership with Federico Dimarco, extending his tenure until 2027. The Italian defender, a product of Inter’s youth system, embarked on loan stints at Ascoli, Empoli, Sion, Parma, and Hellas Verona, solidifying his presence within the Milan side over the past three years. His contributions with Simone Inzaghi’s team have been significant, marked by triumphs including 2 Italian Cups and 2 Super Cups, along with a noteworthy journey to the Champions League final last season, though ultimately falling to Manchester City.

Dimarco’s stellar performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Inter’s management, leading to the decision to reward his efforts with an early contract extension, promising improved financial rewards. This season, the 26-year-old has displayed his prowess, boasting 21 appearances across various competitions, scoring four times and providing four crucial assists for his teammates.

The Nerazzurri’s commitment to retaining key players is evident with Matteo Darmian’s contract extension until 2025. Inzaghi values the 34-year-old defender, advocating for his continued presence beyond his previous contract’s expiration in the summer of 2024. Darmian’s integral role within Inter since 2020 has been instrumental in securing an Italian Championship, 2 cups, and 2 Super Cups. His journey to the Champions League final last year, concluding in a defeat against Manchester City, further solidified his importance to the team.

The former Manchester United and Parma player has showcased his skills in 23 appearances across various competitions this season, contributing with a crucial goal. Additionally, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Armenian midfielder, has committed to Inter until 2026. Despite entering the final phase of his previous contract on January 1, Mkhitaryan penned a new deal, prolonging his stay in Milan until the summer of 2025.

Having joined Inter as a free agent from Roma in 2022, the 34-year-old has proven his worth with 24 appearances, two goals, and five assists this season. Mkhitaryan’s total contributions tally up to 73 appearances with seven goals and as many assists, showcasing his consistent impact within the Nerazzurri setup.
