In a regretful statement, Corinthians expressed disappointment over Verissimo’s decision but clarified that the indefinite contract was ready for signing since the beginning of January. During last Saturday’s training session, Verissimo’s absence was attributed to knee pain, as explained by Walmir Cruz, Corinthians’ performance coordinator.
